| Rajesh is the executive director of Muttath Knowledge Management Consultancy and Allied Services Pvt Ltd (Muttath), a company he founded in 2005. As the executive director, he is in charge of the operations of Muttath. He is also the executive editor of Muttath’s publications including MLTIC web portal. |

| Muttath produces or co-produces a number of well-recognized legal and tax online publications in Malaysia and India including Malaysian Legal Alert, MLTIC (Malaysian Legal and Tax Information Centre), Asean Law, Asean Tax, Indian Legal Info and Legal Kerala. Muttath also operates a Legal Process Outsourcing division (which assists local and foreign firms in the areas of legal research, contract management, bankruptcy and personal injury), a publication support division (which provides support for professional firms in the legal, financial and banking sectors to produce their newsletters), and a Knowledge Management Consultancy division (which consults legal firms and legal departments on knowledge management).

| Rajesh is a certified knowledge manager, and consults legal firms and legal departments on Knowledge Management (KM) initiatives. As a knowledge manager, he undertakes diagnostic exercises including knowledge audit to determine the KM readiness of his clients’ organizations, recommends long-term and immediate KM strategies, and assists in setting KM objectives and goals. He also helps our clients to design and implement appropriate KM activities. |

He is one of the very few certified knowledge managers in the legal industry in South East Asia. He is a member of the Knowledge and Innovation Management Professional Society (KMPro) and International Knowledge Management Institute. He has spoken and written extensively on KM. Some of his recent conference presentations/papers include Creating the Right Culture for Effective Information Management: Policies, Training & Trust, An Introduction to Knowledge Management, A Case for Outsourcing KM Activities, Knowledge Management in Asian Legal Firms: the Challenges, and General Understanding of KM. |

Rajesh is trained as a lawyer. He has a first class degree in law from Mahatma Gandhi University, India, where he topped the 1996 class. He was a scholar at Staffordshire University, United Kingdom, where he read Masters in International Business Law in 1997 and graduated with distinction and a special commendation for his research paper. He has also received intensive training in arbitration and mediation from LEADR, Australia.

Rajesh has worked with a premier legal firm in Singapore, where he was involved in extensive legal research and certain aspects of KM. He has also served as the Chief Knowledge Officer of one of the oldest and the largest legal firms in Malaysia, where he was responsible for the setting up and operations of the KM department. He founded Muttath KM Services in 2005, a business now operating in Malaysia and India.

He has authored or co-authored numerous research articles on various areas of law, particularly on arbitration, mediation, intellectual property and company law.

Indran Shanmuganathan is a partner with Shearn Delamore & Co, one of the oldest and largest legal firms in Malaysia. |

His areas of practice are Intellectual Property and Technology: trademarks; copyright; industrial designs and patent infringement litigation; rectification and invalidation proceedings relating to registered trademarks; industrial designs and patents; enforcement of IP rights through the relevant government agencies; agreements related to intellectual property and IT; consumer laws; and prosecution of trade mark and industrial design applications. |

His contentious practice deals with all aspects of Intellectual Property litigation and he has represented many multi-nationals in the High Court, Court of Appeal and Federal Court. He has been involved in unfair trade practice cases, the mediation or settlement of intellectual property related disputes, and representation of clients in dispute resolution matters. He is also actively involved in IP enforcement through the relevant government agencies. Indran advises his clients on information technology, e-commerce, telecommunications, franchising, entertainment, media, sponsorship and merchandising matters and related agreements. He also advises on protection and maintenance strategies of various IP rights, franchising, IT related agreements and various regulatory laws. |

Indran graduated with an LL.B (Hons) degree from the University of Leicester. He qualified as a Barrister at Law (Lincoln’s Inn) in 1996 and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 1997 and as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Singapore Bar in 2002. |
